The Cosmic Milestone
As a defining icon of contemporary Chinese pop culture, LU HAN has continually transcended boundaries—from his early days with the sensational group EXO, to setting a Guinness World Record with millions of social echoes, and even launching the actual RE:X satellite into the cosmos in 2018. To honor this extraordinary decade-long odyssey, HYM proudly partners with LU HAN to present the "LU HAN 10th Anniversary Selection Vinyl Set". This milestone release is a curated synergy of music, cosmic art, and high-fidelity sound craftsmanship.
Space Exploration Equipment
Drawing inspiration from interstellar voyages, HYM conceptualized the entire set as an authentic piece of "Space Exploration Equipment." The collection is housed within a heavy-duty, large aluminum equipment case, accented in a striking protection-bright yellow. Evoking the imagery of a futuristic space capsule or a cosmic treasure chest, it serves as a secure vessel shielding a decade of musical stardust.
Unboxing the Universe
Upon opening the industrial aluminum vault, the album cover unfolds like a real planetary topographic map. Nested in the lower right corner sits a custom record weight shaped after the RE:X satellite. As the turntable spins, the satellite record weight revolves in perpetual orbit, simulating a probe traversing deep space. Beneath lies the co-branded vinyl player itself, its wooden dust cover elegantly printed with ten distinct planets—each corresponding to one of the ten tracks on the album—charting the cosmic trajectory of the vinyl tonearm.
The Ritual of "12.27"
Precision is paramount in both vinyl playback and space travel. The record player features an integrated bubble leveler; only when perfect alignment is achieved can the music commence. Embedded within the leveler is a permanent marker set to "12.27"—a symbolic homage to December 27, the historic date of LU HAN's official debut. It serves as a romantic reminder that this entire auditory universe began from that singular, definitive moment.
A 10-Year Journey
To construct the main visual identity of the album, HYM utilized a Reflection Electron Microscope (REM) to capture the micro-grooves of the vinyl record itself. Under the microscope, the microscopic ridges of the music morph into breathtaking physical topographies—resembling towering mountains, flowing rivers, deep ravines, and vast deserts. This serves as a profound visual metaphor for LU HAN's relentless, diverse, and majestic ten-year journey of musical creation.
